Water Discovery is about putting parents and children together in the water for a fun, educational experience which will build the basis for a permanent positive connection with water.

Our Philosophy

Teaching very young children to love and respect water is highly specialised. Successful communication with babies and pre-schoolers relies on trust, fun and a strong sense of security. The Water Discovery programme is not just about teaching a child how to swim, it’s about helping a child to reach the emotional, physical and intellectual milestones from where he or she will be capable of learning to swim. The first step in Water Discovery is strengthening the relationship between parent and child in water to build a child’s water confidence. Several more steps will follow before the child is willing and able to develop stroke swimming.

The programme ensures the parent and child learn together through song and play. Learning to swim is fun, and to keep children safe in and around the water they need constant supervision.
